While on my geek pilgrimage to San Diego Comic-Con 2011, I made plans to connect with my fellow Pinoy (Filipino) AFOLista, NorbyZERO, who’s been an SDCC regular for quite a long time now. I was pleasantly surprised to see him decked out in a wearable MOC that exemplifies this guy’s talent building with the Bionicle / Hero Factory system, which itself was a tribute to the latest assortment from the Hero Factory theme. I present NorbyZERO rocking his own Witch Doctor (Hero Factory 3) Masque. This was even more impressive in person, the way it fit and really conveyed this menacing persona. Walking through the main hall with him was a challenge, as he was repeatedly stopped by people complimenting him on his work. Well deserved, really. While System building has its own set of challenges, with this stuff there’s really no “up” or “down” to orient your building, let alone “sideways”. It’s pretty free-for-all. I imagine it’s pretty easy to get lost in it all, but to churn out a cool skull-like face that you can actually wear? Schooled. Click through the image above to check out the MOC from different angles, including the cool staff which isn’t pictured here.

Ooo. Eee… Would that be considered a “sample”. I don’t want to have to pay royalties.
Ha. You mean the title? Hahaha. Who knows…the music industry is dying and needs to recupe by any means necessary.
